Day 3: Home in Brooklyn

Our daughter quickly grew tired of noisy Manhattan life, hearing the siren call to her home in that special epicenter of all things baby, Park Slope, Brooklyn. We packed up her things, got officially discharged from the hospital (straight A’s on all test so far!), and safely whisked her home (her first car ride – in a Volvo S40 Zipcar no less!)

She has settled into a good pattern, doing those special things babies do (and boy do they do!). “Auntie” Cara came by for a quick visit, but mostly it has been quiet time with Ma, Pa and Brother Bunny the Cat.

Eliza’s is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her namesake, Grandma Deane, who at this very minute is speeding towards Brooklyn via Amtrak to meet her one and only (for now) granddaughter.
