To celebrate Eliza’s upcoming two week birthday (a very major milestone!) we decided to throw a little party. In attendance were Grandma and Grandpa Freitas (all the way from Sacramento, California), her Aunt Becky and Uncle Tommy from New Jersey, and her cousins, Ryan, Noelle and Sara. Everyone came to Brooklyn on Sunday to eat bagels, keep Eliza well cuddled and entertained, and to just generally gather ’round.
The baby shower quilt was finally unveiled, and it was quite a thing to see! How amazing it is to have Eliza’s extended California family contribute their own little piece of creativity to make something that will keep her warm and cozy. For now, we will hang the quilt on the wall in the nursery to help liven the place up a bit! Grandma Freitas also created a handy guide book to each tile of the quilt so that Eliza will someday understand who all of the people are that spent the time stitching and sewing.
Eliza was very happy to learn that her Grandma and Grandpa would be staying the whole week in Brooklyn. Mommy and Daddy were also very happy about this, as it meant they were able to celebrate the two week anniversary of their daughter’s birth with a quick nip out to the local pub while Eliza slept away in her grandma’s arms.
How fun! Looks like you all had a great time!
She is soooooooo precious.
So, so sweet. Loved reading this and the photos are really great.
The photographs are beautiful, and you two look like old pros! Not exhausted at all!
