Eliza had a wonderful first christmas, and first blizzard, in boston. We even got to spend an extra night in beantown when our flight back to NYC was canceled–thank goodness for amtrak. Eliza went sledding in Scituate, ate snow in prospect park, and was very patient while her parents slowly navigated the un-plowed streets in our neighborhood.
Playing with wrapping paper and crinkling gift bags was of most interest in the presents department this year, but Eliza does love her new turtle that projects constellations at night, dolls and bears and monkeys, star wars book (from daddy!), wooden dumptruck & puzzles and lots of new clothes. Thank you to all of Eliza’s generous santas across the country.
We got to see uncle lee, visit with kate, prescott and ellie, pass along baby advice to jen, attend christmas eve candelight service, play a rousing game of yankee swap at the flanagans’, play with sophia, be entertained by cloe, and do lots of shoveling in brookline. Not to mention making our way through Grandma Deane’s big pot of lobster newburg over several days.
Happy New Year! We wish you health and happiness in 2011.
