We had a fabulous trip to CA–Eliza got to spend time in Sacramento with her grandparents, aunts and uncles, and little cousins Luka and Marisa, and her cool older cousins Paloma, Madison, Brennan and Garrett. Other than being an angel in the San Pedro procession, water was the main attraction: the River, playing with the hose in the yard with Luka, and splashing in the mushroom pool with Paloma! We even got an unexpected rainstorm on our trip to the zoo.
Eliza loves wine, so we headed to Sonoma next. We met up with Grandma Deane and stayed in a cottage surrounded by zinfandel grapevines and rolling hills. Lazy hazy days followed by dips in Sonoma Lake–it was the perfect summer getaway. Amber, Joe and Mia even made the trek up the mountain from SF for a picnic and swim.
Eliza already misses her family and friends–when can we go back?!
